Teacher, therapist and artist, Danielle’s life has been dedicated to exploring the world through the lens of the body-mind. A former contemporary dancer, she holds a BA in Literary Studies/Health Sciences, an MA in Critical Theory/Creative Movement and a graduate degree in Laban Movement Analysis.
In 1998, Danielle founded the first Pilates studio west of Toronto, called Second Wind, fostering a community of movement for two decades. Here, she created a movement approach called Integrated Movement Therapies (IMT)®, re-orienting Pilates not just as exercise, but as a therapeutic wisdom journey and exploration of self. IMT is the somatic foundation of her Second Wind® Method, one of Canada’s longest-running and most comprehensive Pilates-based teacher-trainings.
Today, Danielle serves as a Life Coach (ACC-ICF), Pilates and Integrated Movement Therapies (IMT)® practitioner, Kundalini Yoga teacher and Yoga Therapist. She rediscovered Kundalini Yoga in 2023 after having been introduced to it as a teenager. Danielle is presently a Kundalini Yoga Teacher Trainer and Beyond Addiction instructor under the leadership of Sat Dharam Kaur of the Saibhang Institute. She has completed the Compassionate Inquiry year-long professional program and is a student of the associated CI Mentorship program. Danielle loves cycling, hiking, painting, sharing and creating something new.
